In Kathmandu’s Tinkune, police have detained some youths after pro-monarchy supporters attempted to breach a restricted area.
Monarchists have gathered in Tinkune to stage a demonstration, demanding the reinstatement of the monarchy and the declaration of Nepal as a Hindu state.
During the protest, supporters attempted to break into the restricted area. As a result, some protesters were taken into police custody.
Security personnel have prevented the demonstrators from entering Baneshwor from the Tinkune bridge.
