Durga Prasai, the main person behind the violent protest on Chaitra 15, has been arrested in India.
According to police sources, he is being brought back to Nepal.
During the protest in Tinkune, Prasai drove a vehicle into police officers and then went out of contact for a while. Since then, the police had been searching for him. Meanwhile, Prasai had been posting videos on social media, claiming he was not on the run.
Even though messages continued to appear from his side on social media, the police were criticized for not being able to track him.
After the protest in Tinkune turned violent, two people died. Private and public properties were also vandalized and set on fire.
