A sub-engineer named Sabin Dahal has died after being swept away by a flash flood in Thuladurlung, located in ward no. 6 of Mahankal Rural Municipality, southeastern Lalitpur.
According to Binod Chaulagain, the ward chairperson of Mahankal-6, the flood occurred on Wednesday evening in the Bharyang stream of Thuladurlung. Sabin, originally from Kaleshwor in Mahankal-4 and living in Harisiddhi, Lalitpur Metropolitan City-29, was 21 years old.
“The flood hit around 7:30 in the evening. We found his body during a search around 10 PM. All roads here are blocked. We have informed the Nepal Army and requested a helicopter,” said Chaulagain.
