A fire broke out at Bungkulung Dairy, located at Birendra Chowk in the district headquarters of Phungling, on Thursday morning, causing an estimated loss of four lakh rupees.
According to locals, the fire started around 7:20 AM due to a gas leak while heating milk.
Suraj Ojha, who was involved in the fire control effort, informed that the fire was brought under control by 7:35 AM with the help of locals and the police.
District Police Office spokesperson and Police Inspector Bibek Basnet stated that preliminary estimates suggest damages worth four lakh rupees, including losses to the dairy and nearby shops, such as clothes and other items.
