A shop caught fire in Gorkha, destroying goods inside.
The fire broke out in the tin-roofed shop of Ramsharan Pokharel at Taramabis, Chepetar, Gorkha Municipality-10. Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Indra Prasad Subedi from the District Police Office, Gorkha, shared this information.
The incident happened around 3 AM on Friday. Someone might have broken the lock of the hotel and fancy shop and set the fire. Clothes, utensils, a fridge, tables, chairs, and other shop items were burned.
DSP Subedi said, “The fire destroyed all the goods inside the shop, including clothes, tables, shelves, a fridge, and utensils.”
After receiving the news, a police team from the Bahrakilo Police Post, along with local people, helped to control the fire. Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident.
Currently, the police are making a damage report in the presence of local representatives and residents. Further investigation is ongoing.
