Kamana Bista Shines as Best Player in KNP Nerolac Sher Bahadur Khadka National Volleyball

Nepal Police Club’s star Kamana Bista has been crowned the Best Player of the eighth KNP Nerolac Sher Bahadur Khadka National Women’s Volleyball Championship. Kamana Bista played a vital role in helping Police Club secure their first-ever title in the tournament.

For her outstanding performance, Kamana Bista received a cash prize of Rs. 50,000 and a round-trip air ticket from Kathmandu to Bangkok. Her brilliance on the court was instrumental in Police Club’s historic win.

In the final held at the National Sports Council’s Covered Hall in Tripureshwor, Nepal Police Club defeated six-time champions APF in straight sets. Police dominated the match, winning 25–15, 25–23, and 25–16 without dropping a single set throughout the competition.

The tournament was a showcase for Police Club’s dominance. Besides Kamana Bista’s Best Player award, several other Police players stood out. Punam Chand was named Best Blocker, Kamala Pun the Best Setter, and Shantikala Tamang the Best Libero. Coach Rupesh Kumar Bista also won the Best Coach award.

Meanwhile, APF players Niruta Thagunna and Pooja Chaudhary were recognized as the Best Spiker and Best Server respectively. All individual winners received a cash prize of Rs. 25,000 each.

Kamana Bista’s leadership and skill were key to Nepal Police Club’s perfect championship run, and her outstanding showing at the KNP Nerolac Sher Bahadur Khadka National Volleyball Championship will be remembered as one of the finest performances.
