Kangana Invites Deepika to Her Café After Years of Tension

Kangana Ranaut is achieving new milestones. In the past year, she became a Member of Parliament from Mandi, Himachal Pradesh, representing the Bharatiya Janata Party. She also made her solo directorial debut with the political thriller Emergency and is now preparing to open her first café, The Mountain Story, in her home state.

Kangana Invites Deepika Padukone to Her Café

On Wednesday, Kangana shared an old video clip on her Instagram Stories. The clip, originally posted by a fan page, is from the News18 Actresses Roundtable in 2013. In the video, Rajeev Masand asks the actresses what they see themselves doing in ten years.

While Deepika Padukone responded, “Still doing the same thing, ya?” Kangana had a different answer. She said, “I’d like to open a restaurant with a world menu. I have traveled a lot and collected amazing recipes. I want to open a beautiful little café. I’m very good with food.” Deepika then jokingly replied, “I’ll be your first client,” and both actresses laughed.

Sharing the clip, Kangana wrote, “If walking the talk had a face, it would be me… also @deepikapadukone, you should be my first client.”

Kangana and Deepika’s Differences

Over the years, Kangana and Deepika’s relationship has not been the best. In 2018, when the Rajput Karni Sena threatened Deepika over her role as Rani Padmini in Padmaavat, many actors signed a petition in her support, but Kangana refused. Later, Kangana revealed that she had rejected the role Deepika played in Padmaavat because she felt it was “irrelevant.”

Their Upcoming Projects

Kangana will soon be seen in a new film alongside R. Madhavan, her Tanu Weds Manu co-star. She began shooting for it after Emergency was released earlier this year. Meanwhile, Deepika was last seen in Rohit Shetty’s cop drama Singham Again in 2024.
