A 52-year-old man, Rudra Bahadur Budhathoki, was found dead on Wednesday morning in his rented room in Khya Jogi Thum, Ribdikot Municipality-1. The police have revealed that his landlord, Madhab Bista, is responsible for the murder.
Budhathoki had been living in Bista’s house for a while and worked as a laborer. He was found dead in his room around 8 a.m. on Magh 23. Despite being dead, there was blood on his nose, forehead, mouth, and even on the bed where he was lying. After further investigation, it was confirmed that Bisht, the landlord, had killed him, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Sunil Malla from the Palpa District Police Office.
Budathoki’s body was sent to Lumbini Provincial Hospital in Butwal for a post-mortem, and it was later handed over to his family. Bisht has been arrested and remanded by the Palpa District Court, with further investigations into the case continuing.
