Police have arrested a man in Narainapur, Banke, on charges of raping a 19-year-old girl. Following the assault, the victim was taken to Bheri Hospital for treatment due to excessive bleeding.
The suspect, 45-year-old Jagbahadur Teli from Narainapur-5, Sarbajpur, was arrested after the girl reported the incident. According to police, Teli took advantage of the fact that no one was around and raped the girl before fleeing the scene.
Inspector Topendra Budhamagar of the Bhagawanpur Area Police Office stated that Teli was arrested on Saturday based on the victim’s statement.
“We immediately rescued the girl and took her to the hospital,” he said. “The suspect is in custody, and further investigation is ongoing.”
Another rape incident occurred on Poush 3 in Narainapur-4, where a 14-year-old girl was assaulted while returning home from a fair.
