A man died, and another was injured after being hit by a tipper truck in Tinkune.
According to SP Apilraj Bohora of the Kathmandu District Police, the accident occurred around 4:30 AM on Saturday in front of the Gairigaun petrol pump, Kathmandu-32. A tipper truck (Ra 1 Kha 2622) hit a motorcycle (Pr 3-02-003 Pa 6245).
The accident left Sukaram Tamang from Panauti Municipality-11, Kavre, and Ramesh Tamang from BBethanchowk Rural Municipality-6 seriously injured. They were immediately taken to the Trauma Center for treatment. However, Sukaram Tamang passed away at 5:30 AM during treatment.
Ramesh Tamang is still receiving medical care. The police found the tipper truck inside the airport cargo area, but the driver is on the run.
