Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has held a telephone conversation with the chairman of the main opposition party, CPN (Maoist), Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’.
During a discussion with Speaker Devraj Ghimire, UML chief whip Mahesh Bartaula informed that Prime Minister Oli had communicated with the leader of the main opposition party.
According to Bartaula, Prime Minister Oli spoke with Prachanda over the phone regarding the obstruction of Parliament.
The opposition parties have been demanding a response from the government regarding the dismissal of Nepal Electricity Authority’s Executive Director, Kulman Ghising. They insist that the Prime Minister himself should provide the clarification.
Prime Minister Oli has sent a notice to the Parliament Secretariat stating that he will address the Parliament on Monday. The ruling party believes that this should lead to the resolution of the parliamentary obstruction.
