A jeep accident in Baitadi has killed one person and injured three others.
According to police, the accident happened around 8:45 PM on Friday at Nanigad in Dasharathchand Municipality-11. A Bolero jeep with the number plate BAC 5659 went out of control and crashed on the Dehimandau-Giregada inner road.
Chanchale Dayal, a 54-year-old man from Pancheshwar Rural Municipality-5, died in the accident. He was taken to the district hospital in serious condition, but doctors declared him dead on arrival.
Three others, including the jeep driver, were injured. The injured are 35-year-old driver Rakesh Koli from Bijul, Pancheshwar-6; 52-year-old Laliram Koli from Rodidewal; and 30-year-old Kabita Pariyar from Barakot, Dasharathchand-10.
They are being treated at Baitadi District Hospital. The jeep reportedly fell about 40 meters off the road. The cause of the accident is still unknown.
