A tragic road accident in Jhapa district has left one person dead and two others injured after a motorcycle and an auto-rickshaw collided on the Mechi Highway.
Victim Identified:
- Bhim Bahadur Sarki (34), a resident of Arjundhara-11, was riding the motorcycle (Me 8 Pa 803).
- He was seriously injured in the crash and was rushed to B&C Hospital, Birtamod, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
Injured:
- Nirmala BK (49) and her daughter Deepa BK (17), both passengers in the auto-rickshaw (Pra 1-01-002 Ha 5571), sustained injuries.
- They are currently undergoing treatment at B&K Polyclinic, Charali.
🔹 Ongoing Investigation:
- The auto driver, Yuvraj Ghimire (40) of Buddhashanti-1, has been taken into custody.
- Both vehicles are also in police control as further investigation continues, according to DSP Khagendra Bahadur Khadka of the District Police Office.
