Rain has started in Kathmandu Valley, with moderate rainfall accompanied by thunder.
According to meteorologists from the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, light rain is expected tonight in some hilly Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.
Meteorologist Binod Pokharel stated there is also a chance of thunderstorms and lightning in those areas.
Experts further predict light snowfall in some high-hill and Himalayan regions of the Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces.
Meteorologist Pratibha Manandhar mentioned that the sun is unlikely to shine for the next three days. She explained that Nepal is currently affected by western winds and local winds, along with moisture-laden air coming from the Bay of Bengal. This has caused cloudy weather across the country. However, as the system is weak, heavy rainfall is not expected anytime soon.
