The two-day Central Committee meeting of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) is set to commence today in Kathmandu.

On the first day of the meeting, scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, discussions will focus on the Cooperative Ordinance 2081 and bills registered in Parliament, with the party’s stance to be presented, according to Acting Spokesperson Manish Jha.

Today’s agenda includes deliberations among RSP Central Committee members on organizational structure, reviews, strategies, strengthening, and awareness initiatives.

Additionally, today’s session will review local-level by-elections, conduct contemporary political discussions, and present reports. On the second day, discussions on constitutional amendments are planned.

As per the schedule prepared by Acting General Secretary Kabindra Burlakoti, the meeting will also deliberate on the interpretation of proposals and the roadmap for holistic development. Discussions will further cover the party’s future direction and program schedules based on the political report presented by the party chairperson during the Jaleshwar meeting and the national assembly.

According to Acting General Secretary Burlakoti, Sunday’s meeting will address restructuring the Central Committee, Advisory Council, Think Tank, and Central Departments. It will also cover amendments to the party’s code of conduct and meeting procedures.

The RSP Central Committee comprises 61 members, including Chairperson Rabi Lamichhane. Following charges of cooperative fraud, organized crime, and money laundering against Chairperson Lamichhane, the responsibility of Acting Chairperson has been handed over to Dor Prasad Aryal.
