A person has died in a collision between a scooter and a tractor in Kanchanpur.
In Bhimdatta Municipality-11, a scooter with registration number SuPa 02-003 Pa 6732, traveling in the same direction, collided with the rear part of a tractor with registration number Ma 1 Ta 1020.
According to the police, 40-year-old Prem Giri, who was riding as a passenger on the scooter, succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment. Maya Metro Hospital in Dhangadhi had referred him to Bhojipura, India, for further treatment.
However, doctors declared him dead after an examination before he could be taken to India, the police reported. Meanwhile, the police have taken the scooter rider, 42-year-old Santosh Kunwar from the same area, into custody.
