Students Protest Alleged Misbehavior by Principal in Mahottari

Students in Jaleshwar, Mahottari, have protested after their principal allegedly misbehaved with a female student. The principal of Lakshmi Chandi Murarka Secondary School, Sanjib Jha, is accused of mistreating a student from class 7.

The student reported to her classmates that the principal misbehaved with her in her classroom and other classrooms on Friday. On Sunday, as the school day began, students became upset and started protesting. They are demanding action against the principal.

After the protest, the police started investigating the allegations. Mahottari Police Chief Nakul Pokharel confirmed that the principal has been called to the district police office for questioning.

Pokharel added that efforts are being made to calm the protesting students and that further investigation into the incident is ongoing. Currently, the students are protesting in front of the school and the district administration office.
