A tractor accident in Bajura has killed one person and injured a child.
The accident happened around 11 PM on Sunday at Chiralna, Ward 5 of Khaptad Chhededaha Rural Municipality. According to the police, the tractor (registration number Bhe 2 Ta 1588) was coming downhill from Dogadi toward Budhiganga when it suddenly went out of control and crashed.
The driver, 32-year-old Padam Rawat from Khola Lawada, Ward 4 of Budhiganga Municipality, died at the scene after being trapped under the tractor’s trailer.
His 12-year-old son, Shamsher Rawat, who was also in the tractor, was injured and is receiving treatment at a local health post. The police said the two other passengers on the tractor were unharmed.
