Two Arrested with 431 Kg of Red Sandalwood-like Timber in Kathmandu

Police arrested two individuals with 431 kilograms of timber resembling red sandalwood from Pepsicola, Kathmandu Metropolitan City-32, on Tuesday night.

The arrested individuals are Gyan Bahadur Timilsina, 40, from Balephi Rural Municipality-8, Sindhupalchok, currently residing in the area, and Ramesh Thapa, 41, from Kathmandu Metropolitan City-14.

The suspects were caught by a team from the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office. The timber was found packed in 13 sacks inside a shed at the location.

Police are conducting further investigations into the case.
