Eshwar Harris Said No to War 2
The makers of War 2 approached Eshwar Harris to be the body double for NTR Jr. He had earlier worked as NTR’s stunt double in Rajamouli’s blockbuster RRR. But this time, Harris turned down the offer.
Why Did He Refuse?
In an interview with the YouTube channel Mana Stars, Harris explained his reason. He said that the payment he was offered was too low — so low that he wouldn’t even be able to afford a flight to Mumbai.
Here’s what Harris said:
“I was recently asked if I would like to work in War 2. But I refused just because of the pay. They told me to fly to Mumbai as soon as possible. But the amount they offered wouldn’t even cover my flight ticket.”
Harris also criticized the way Bollywood treats stunt performers and raised serious concerns about how poorly they are paid despite the risk involved in their work.
