**Youths Arrested for Thamel Police Attack, Remanded for 5 Days**

Two youths arrested for attacking an on-duty police officer in Thamel have been granted a five-day remand.

The Kathmandu District Administration Office has extended their custody for five days under the charge of indecent behavior, according to SP and spokesperson of the Kathmandu Metropolitan Police Range, Apil Raj Bohora.

The arrested individuals, 26-year-old Dinesh Sigdel from Fungling Municipality-1, Taplejung, and 22-year-old Ramesh Phulara from Ganyapdhura Rural Municipality-5, Dadeldhura, were taken into custody on Sunday. Both are students at Amrit Science Campus (ASCOL) and affiliated with the student wing of the CPN-UML party.

Their group attacked a Quick Response Team (QRT) deployed from the Keshar Mahal police post in Durbarmarg.
