Police have arrested nine people involved in looting the Bhat-Bhateni supermarket in Koteshwor during a protest by royalists.
A team from the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office caught them with the stolen goods.
The arrested individuals are:
- Ashish Singh from Mithila Municipality-6, Dhanusha, currently living in Koteshwor-32, Kathmandu.
- Prem Kumar Mahato from Barathawa Municipality-16, Sarlahi, now resides in Narephant, Koteshwor.
- Ravi Ranjan Kumar from Hajipur, Patna, Bihar, India.
- Sushila Kumal from Bidur Municipality-6, Nuwakot, living in Koteshwar.
- Elisa Rai from Dharan, Sunsari, is currently living in Koteshwor-32.
- Bal Kumari Karki from Narephant, Koteshwor.
- Nirmala Karki from Sangachokgadhi Municipality-8, Sindhupalchok, now living in Koteshwor.
- Chitra Maya Basnet from Tinpatan, Sindhuli, now lives in Koteshwar.
Police recovered the stolen items from their possession. They have been handed over to the Baneshwor Police Circle for further investigation.
