Filing complaints and applications at police stations used to be costly in Kapilvastu. People had to spend between 500 to 2,000 rupees to get legal documents written by scribes or lawyers.
Financial Burden on Poor Citizens
For many poor citizens, even filing a simple application meant borrowing money. This created difficulties, especially for those who needed urgent legal assistance.
QR Code System for Easy Applications
Now, this problem is permanently solved in all police units across Kapilvastu. Citizens can simply scan a QR code to submit their complaints or applications without needing a lawyer or paying extra fees.
How the New System Helps Citizens
The District Police Office of Kapilvastu has introduced QR codes and assigned police assistants to help people file applications. This has made the process much easier and more accessible.
No More Dependence on Scribes
A man visiting the police office was confused because he couldn’t find a scribe to write his complaint. However, Assistant Sub-Inspector Kamal RC smiled and reassured him, saying, “If you can scan the QR code, you can download the form on your mobile. If not, I will help you.”
