Deepak Bohara, a prominent member of the House of Representatives representing the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP), has passed away. He died on Tuesday while receiving medical care at Om Hospital in Kathmandu.
Confirming the news, RPP spokesperson Mohan Shrestha expressed his sorrow and informed Setopati about the untimely demise of Bohara.
Bohara, who was elected to the House of Representatives from Rupandehi Constituency No. 3 in the November 2022 elections, was known for his political achievements. He made headlines for defeating Bal Krishna Khand, the then-home minister and senior Nepali Congress leader, in a closely contested race.
The late lawmaker had been battling health issues for the past two years, which ultimately led to his passing. His death marks a significant loss to the political community and his supporters.
