A man was found unconscious at Everest Hotel & Lodge in Birtamod-4, Jhapa, and later passed away.
According to the police, the deceased has been identified as 30-year-old Sagar Besra from Haldibari Rural Municipality-1.
Jhapa District Police Office stated that Besra had checked into the hotel last night with a female companion. He was found unconscious in the bathroom of his room after falling. Around 1:30 AM, he was taken to Birta City Hospital for treatment, but doctors declared him dead.
The police have taken the hotel operator and the woman who was with Besra into custody for further investigation.
