Dalbir Mahara, the 35-year-old principal of Bhawani Secondary School, died after falling from a cliff in Apihimal Rural Municipality-6, Darchula.
Originally from Marma Rural Municipality-2, Mahara was returning home from school when he fell about 150 meters down the cliff. According to Api Himal Rural Municipality Chairman Bhakta Singh Thekare, he died at the scene.
Mahara is survived by his wife, two sons, and two daughters.
