Truck Accident in Makwanpur Kills Driver, Injures Assistant

A coal-carrying truck met with an accident this morning near the charging point at Ratamate, Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City-15, along the East-West Highway. The crash resulted in the death of the driver and injuries to the assistant driver.

Truck Was Coming From India

The truck (registration number UP 61 AT 0962) was transporting coal from Varanasi, India, to Riddhi Siddhi Cement Industry in Nepal. According to District Police Office spokesperson Shyamu Aryal, the truck crashed near Ratamate.

Driver Died on the Way to Hospital

The driver, 45-year-old Mahendra Yadav from Purainiya, Ghazipur district, India, was found unconscious and trapped inside the truck. Police rescued him and rushed him to Hetauda Hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.

Assistant Driver Receiving Treatment

The assistant driver, 26-year-old Manoj Yadav, also from the same area in India, was injured in the accident and is currently undergoing treatment at Hetauda Hospital, according to police reports.
