A woman injured in a gas cylinder explosion in Dhangadhi, the capital of Sudurpashchim Province, has passed away. The police reported that 36-year-old Mina Khadka, a resident of Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City-6, Matiyari, who was injured in the explosion on Chaitra 2, succumbed to her injuries.
According to DSP Kabindra Singh Bohara, the spokesperson for the District Police Office, Khadka passed away while undergoing treatment at the Burn Hospital in Kirtipur, Kathmandu, on Saturday. He also stated that two other injured individuals are still receiving treatment in Kathmandu.
The deceased’s daughter, 20-year-old Chandra Khadka, and a local gas dealer, 40-year-old Govinda Raj Joshi, are currently undergoing treatment. Khadka had purchased the gas cylinder from Joshi’s shop and had called him to install it. The explosion occurred during the installation, injuring all three of them.
