The death toll has reached three in a school bus accident in Kattike, Shankharapur Municipality-5, Kathmandu. According to the Sankhu Police Post, 40 people have been injured in the accident. The identities of the deceased have not yet been confirmed.
The bus (Ba 2 Kha 7958) of Sundarimai Yatayat, carrying students of SS Academy in Chabahil, met with an accident at 4:50 PM on Wednesday due to brake failure. The bus, driven by 39-year-old Manish Majhi, was heading towards Sankhu when the accident occurred, according to the police.
The injured are currently receiving treatment at People’s Life Care Hospital in Shankharapur, Nepal Medical College in Jorpati, and Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital in Maharajgunj, as per police reports.
